They all wanted him to be their “Boyfriend.”
Hundreds of screaming Beliebers – some in tears – packed Rockefeller Center Friday morning to see Justin Bieber perform at the Today show’s free summer concert series.
The “Never Say Never” singer, 18, hit the stage with a his dance crew wearing a white vest and baggy white harem-style jeans and kicked off his set with the title track of his new album, “Boyfriend.”
In an explosion of Bieber fever, young girls scrambled toward the star with arms stretched out trying to grab the singing sensation’s hand or even tug his pants leg.
Bieber broke out some Micheal Jackson-inspired choreography for “Boyfriend,” including the late singer’s signature crotch grab.
Some fans had been camped out for days waiting to see the star belt out his signature tracks.
Amina Morsi, 16, of Brooklyn, was first in line, having camped out with her best friend since 6 a.m. Tuesday.
“I’m here for his music,” she told the Daily News Thursday. “The way he talks about to ‘never say never,’ just the way he sings with passion. I think it’s very inspiring.”
Bieber also treated fans to an amped-up rendition of “Baby,” the song that shot him to mega-stardom.
The star’s voice is lower now than it was on the billboard-topping song’s release in 2010 , but it didn’t bother the swooning legions of tweens belting out the lyrics along with their teen idol.
Bieber rounded out his set with “As Long as You Love Me” featuring rap star Big Sean.
