A Site For All Your Needs Debuts Song on Planet Mars

The Black Eyed Peas front man teams up with NASA for special premiere.

By Arielle Loren is taking his music beyond this world with the help of NASA and their Curiosity Rover. The Black Eyed Peas star will release his new solo track, “Reach for the Stars,” on the planet Mars as part of an educational initiative for students learning about NASA.

According to the renowned space program’s website, the popular producer signed on to be part of this project due to his passion for science, technology and space exploration. His song debuts today on the Red Planet, and will also be heard at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasedena, CA, via the Curiosity Rover. is not the first musician to interact with NASA and the space machine. Earlier in the month, pop star Britney Spears tweeted, “So @MarsCuriosity… does Mars look the same as it did in 2000?” along with a link to her red planet set for the “Oops!…I Did It Again” video. The official Twitter account responded, “Hey Brit Brit. Mars is still looking good. Maybe someday an astronaut will bring me a gift, too.
