ROBERT Pattinson’s ex-girlfriend has apparently warned him not to “make any hasty decisions” when it comes to his love life.

The British actor has remained on good terms with his first love, Nina Schubert. The pair dated when Robert was growing up in London and despite the split, they still share a close bond. Robert has been left devastated after it was revealed that his girlfriend Kristen Stewart cheated on him with director Rupert Sanders. The hunk has now turned to Nina, who is proving to be his rock.

“Rob and Nina grew up together… She was Rob’s first serious girlfriend. It only didn’t work out between them because he had to move to LA for work. She’s been there for him more than anyone else these past few weeks,” a source told British magazine Look. “Nina’s told him he shouldn’t make any hasty decisions now and he should take all the time he needs.”

Robert has been phoning Nina and they have been discussing his relationship with Kristen.

“He calls her upset, at 2am, saying over and over how stupid he feels for not realising what was going on between Kristen and Rupert,” the source added. “She’s there to listen.”

Kristen is believed to be begging to see Robert so she can “explain” herself.

According to British magazine Closer, the cheating star wants a face-to-face meeting, saying; “You don’t have to forgive me, just hear me out.”

Kristen has even suggested the pair fly to a secluded log cabin in Seattle. Robert is said to be unsure of the plans, but has Kristen’s best interests at heart.

“Rob is still deciding what to do,” the source continued. “He knows she’s going through as much hell as he is, but he’s not sure he’s ready to see her or forgive her. Kristen has told him she doesn’t expect or deserve forgiveness, she just needs to see him to explain.”

Meanwhile, Rupert’s wife Liberty Ross apparently visited a lawyer in Los Angeles on Tuesday. The model was spotted in the lobby of a legal practice in Century City.

However, TMZ is reporting Liberty is not seeking a divorce from the director. It is believed the couple are working on reconciliation and have attended couples therapy sessions.

Liberty has not been wearing her wedding ring, and insiders claim she wants “assurance” from Rupert that he won’t be unfaithful again.

‘Breaking Dawn’ Director on Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Post Scandal

Bill Condon says of the ‘Twiligh Saga’ lead actors, ‘The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that.’

Many Twihards were devastated to find out that Edward and Bella’s immortal love didn’t extend beyond the screen when Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart broke up following her scandalous fling with married director Rupert Sanders. On the contrary, Bill Condon thinks it’s not necessarily a bad thing.

“The fact is, these are actors playing parts, and maybe it’s not such a bad thing that people be reminded of that,” he tells EW for its fall movie preview. “Both of these actors gave heart and soul to the ‘Twilight‘ movies, not only during shooting, but also by navigating so graciously the whole life-in-a-fishbowl aspect of the phenomenon.”

The director, who helmed both “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part I” and “The Twilight Saga’s Breaking Dawn Part II“, continues, “Above all they have always shown great respect for the fans who made thesemovies such a success. Now it’s time that some of that respect be returned to them.”

The tryst between Kristen and her “Snow White and the Huntsman” director Rupert did not only end the actress’ relationship with Robert but also rocked the filmmaker’s marriage to Liberty Ross. The British model ditched her wedding ring when stepping out for the first time since the affair.

Kristen Stewart Pre-Cheating Scandal: I Don’t Like “Fake” People

by Rebecca Macatee

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewart doesn’t bother with the phony Hollywood, sweet persona many actresses take on.

“I don’t like people like that,” the 22-year-old actress told Entertainment Weekly in a mid-July interview, just before news broke that she cheated on Robert Pattinson with married director Rupert Sanders.

People who are a complete non-person but somehow through the lens seem like they are on and interesting and engaged. I care way more about the people standing in the room,” she said. “I don’t want anyone leaving and saying, ‘God, that girl is so fake.'”

“People tell me to make it easier on myself and to play a character when I go out on carpets and stuff,” she added. “But you know what? I’d rather be me.”

Being herself—whether it’s her candid interviews or the heartbreaking public apology she made to Pattinson—is a huge part of Stewart’s appeal.

Just keep being you, K.Stew.

Watch Will Ferrell Call Kristen Stewart A Trampire

Author: Katey Rich
Last week I kind of flipped my wig a little bit at Fox News, thanks to a headline that dubbed Kristen Stewart a “trampire” due to her affair with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. My affection for solid puns aside, it seemed like an unnecessarily judgmental and woman-hating term for a woman who had just made a bad but personal mistake. Turns out, I’m not the only one who’s upset– Will Ferrell is right there with me, though he uses that “trampire” term just like Fox News did. It’s just that, this time, it’s funny. Take a look below.

There’s a part of me that recoils for a second and thinks that Ferrell is diminishing what’s likely real pain that Kristen Stewart is going through. But as a fan of virtually everything Ferrell does, I can’t help but also laugh at the sight of his face crumpled into tears, so I’m going to choose to believe he’s making fun of the people who take celebrity news so seriously that they actually would cry about it– or call Kristen Stewart a “trampire” with a straight face.

If you’re wondering why Ferrell is showing up on Conan’s couch, he’s out promoting the comedy The Campaign, in which he stars with Zach Galifianakis as a pair of North Carolina politicians running for state office. It’s also the reason he, Galifianakis and Jon Hamm took on Jon Stewart in an equally funny Daily Showappearance. God bless you, Will Ferrell, for keeping late-night television interesting even years after SNL.

Inside Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart’s Romantic Night at the Cannes Film Festival

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Cannes 2012

Kristen Stewart had something to celebrate Wednesday night at the Cannes Film Festival. Not only did she receive great reviews for her performance in On the Road, but boyfriend Robert Pattinson was there to support her every step of the way!

After Rob walked the red carpet, he waited inside for Stewart, 22. Sitting in front of her in the packed theater (she sat with her cast), we’re told Pattinson, 26, and Kristen had a few minutes to catch up before the film started. However at the after-party at Magic Garden Club, Celebuzz is told the couple only had eyes for each other.

So what went down?

Holding court at a private table, sources tell us Rob and Kristen “never left each other’s sides.”

“They just looked really happy,” adds our insider. “They hung out with friends, like Sam Riley, but it seemed like Rob and Kristen were in their own little world. It looked like they spent the entire night laughing! You could tell that they were in great spirits, and Rob couldn’t have looked more proud.”

And there was no shortage of PDA! The couple was not shy to show affection, “kissing, cuddling, and giggling.” Adds our source, “they looked like two kids in love!”

You can see Pattinson keep his girl close in the photo above that someone posted on Twitter. Not to mention their adorable kiss was caught by paparazzi (kind of bittersweet), and there is even video of it down below.

Quick recap: Rob pulls Kristen in and they sort of start swaying back and forth. Champagne dancing, perhaps? Then he kisses her on the forehead (you can tell she’s smiling!) before there is some sort of animated conversation. We’d die to be a fly on the wall to hear what they are talking about. Pattinson seems to be shaking his head “Noooo” for a while, does a funny little dance, and then he and Kristen go in for the kill. This is too much cuteness to handle for one day!

Let the guessing games begin…what do you think they were talking about?!

Supercouple Smackdown at Cannes: Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson vs Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart

By Dana Kennedy

Cue the music from “All About Eve. The reigning King and Queen of the Croisette, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, may be overshadowed on the red carpet this week by younger, rising cinematic royalty: Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson.

Stewart, 22, and Pattinson, 26, are making their first appearance at Cannes with two gritty and hip films that could help them break out of the velvet coffin of the blockbuster “Twilight” franchise.

Stewart plays Marylou in the long-awaited movie version of Jack Kerouac‘s classic “On the Road,” and Pattinson goes way against his usual good guy type in David Cronenberg‘s sexy, violent “Cosmopolis”.

“I’m looking for more,” drawls a nude Pattinson, reclining below a half-naked woman pointing a gun at him in the “Cosmopolis” trailer. “Flip the switch. Show me something I don’t know.”

While Cannes has always been known as a festival for those interested in serious films, the importance of major movie stars at the festival cannot be underestimated. From Brigitte Bardot to Sophia Loren to Sharon Stone, stars have provided the frisson of sex and flash that has made the festival so iconic and newsworthy.

The supercouple smackdown, which begins Tuesday with the premiere of Pitt’s new movie, “Killing Me Softly,” is already being speculated about breathlessly in the French tabloids.

“Les Robsten ou Les Brangelina: Who will win the Palme du Couple?” asks Adobuzz, a French entertainment news site. “Let the battle begin!”

To some Cannes regulars, the idea that the sullen Stewart and her once-secret boyfriend Pattinson could rival the majestic Jolie-Pitts is laughable. Sure, they’re a real-life couple who met on the set of a movie like Brad and Angelina, but there, say detractors, the comparison ends.

“Nobody can compete with Brange,” says Lainey Lui who writes the popular and snarky Lainey Gossip website. “Every journalist I know here is going to be up at the crack of dawn to make sure to get into the screening of Brad’s film and to track them all day long. Brad and Angelina play us all so well and they continue to play us. No one else can make their kind of headline. There just isn’t this level of excitement with Rob and Kristen.”

Or is there? Another school of thought suggests that the bloom is off the Jolie-Pitt gorgeous-globetrotting-philanthropic-superstar-parents-of-six brand and that Cannes is ripe for fresh blood like Robsten. The younger couple together earned $40 million between May 2010 and May 2011 compared to the Jolie-Pitts’ combined salary of $50 million, according to Forbes magazine — and Stewart alone made more money ($34 million) than either Brad or Angelina in the last 12 months.

“Kristen and Rob are hot on their heels and have a huge and much younger fan base that Brad and Angelina would kill for,” says longtime British celebrity journalist Jen Paul who now edits the European entertainment news site Bohomoth.

“Kristen especially has a massive following. Even her bodyguard has a fan page. There are easily 10 times as many Tumblrs and Pinterest pages for Kristen and Rob than for Brad and Angelina. And you know Angelina is well aware of it. She’ll say she doesn’t pay attention but trust me, she does.”

Paul says that from what she observes from the traffic on her site and the articles requested by editors she writes for in the U.K., the collective Jolie-Pitt star is “fading.”

Indeed, one of People magazine‘s top five worst-selling cover stories of 2011 featured the Jolie-Pitt children.

“Brad and Angelina were big sellers when their relationship was fresh and after they had their first baby,” says an editor with another of the top celebrity weeklies in the U.S. “There was a bump, so to speak, when Angelina had the twins. But the recent engagement turned out to be a real shrug for readers. They didn’t seem to care.”

Stewart and Pattinson, in any case, will potentially bring a new demographic and aesthete to the festival, especially if Stewart continues her recent habit of switching from high heels to sneakers on the red carpet, as she did during the premiere of “Snow White and the Huntsmen” in London last week.

“I think they’re going to put Cannes on the map for younger people who normally don’t pay attention to it and see it as too mature and stuffy,” says a 23-year-old production assistant who worked on “On the Road” and is in Cannes for the first time.

“Angelina and Brad make it too obvious how hard they work to control their image. Rob and Kristen don’t care. They’ll bring more of a Coachella vibe to the place.”

Owen Gleiberman, the veteran Entertainment Weekly film critic, says Stewart and Pattinson have to prove their worth outside “Twilight” before they even dream of knocking the Jolie-Pitts off their perch but had some sobering words for Jolie. Despite all her Cannes cachet, the larger-than-life narrative that has made her one of the most envied women in the world may have a down side.

“At this point, Angelina’s status as part of this royal supercouple has eclipsed her work as an actress,” Gleiberman says. “That’s much less true of Brad. He has established and re-established his credibility as a great actor. His double whammy last year with “The Tree of Life” and “Moneyball” was about the best work he’s ever done. He’s at the top of his game.  But with Angelina, her life has overtaken her art and swallowed it.”

Says marketing and branding expert Layla Revis, vice president of social media at Ogilvy and Mather: “Robert and Kristen are taking a much more private approach. In this regard, they may be prolonging their own relationship as well as their careers by not always needing to be in the public eye.”
